On behalf of my fellow Board members, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude for your unwavering trust at the 23rd Annual General Meeting held on March 26th. Thanks to the support of our shareholders, all proposed resolutions, including the appointment of new independent directors, were approved.
As a result, we welcome Ms. SONG Seongjoo, a renowned financial risk management expert from Korea University, and Mr. CHOI Young-Gwon, a seasoned portfolio manager and ESG investor, to our Board. With our new members to the Board, we hope the expertise and diversity of our Board increase. This year, Shinhan Financial Group has set rigorous internal controls, thorough risk management, enhancement of consumer convenience and shareholder value as its key management agendas under the strategic vision of 'Excellence, Shinhan'. Our Board members will commit to work together with the management team towards achieving these objectives. At the same time, we will diligently fulfil our role of oversighting management through transparent and accountable decision-making.
