JEJU BANK
Jeju Bank, founded in 1969 in Jeju, is a local bank of the Jeju residents and businessmen whose goal was to achieve advancement of the local economy. It joined the Shinhan Financial Group business line in 2002, has been recording robust growth, and has positioned itself as the representative local bank of Jeju.
With the largest number of bank branches in the Jeju area, it serves the locals as a bank with good accessibility and high convenience. The bank acts as a backbone of the local finance with its tight link to the local community. Amidst the inevitable flow of financial digitization, Jeju Bank continues to its next challenge. It became the first financial institution to launch a non-financial (tourism) application ‘Jeju Genie’, which is a specialized digital platform that combines ‘travel’ with ‘finance.’ It is drawing the outline for future finance such as bridging Jeju businessmen with tourists and acting as the platform for the Jeu life.
